September Greeter of the Month
Marlane Webb, Ashland Springs Hotel

I started my career in catering in 1978 at the San Francisco Hilton. After my first day at work, I knew this was what I
wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was and is still so exciting and different each
day!
I have opened many hotels and catering departments in metropolitan
cities. While these new hotels have been
cutting edge, the Ashland Springs Hotel is by far the most elegant and beautiful hotel I
have worked in.
When catering off-premise, I bring a distinctive look with me to any
venue the customer has chosen. Each event is
my promise to the customer and their guests that their event will be worry-free, elegant
and reasonably priced with attention to every detail.
I truly enjoy attending Greeters each week. All the people that attend become your friends. We refer each others businesses and call them
when we need their particular service. You can
actually feel the pride when the testimonials are given; not only for the business
receiving the testimonial, but also from the person giving it. We buy Chamber!! We are not only proud to help eachother, we also
receive great service and great products! Thank
you Medford Greeters!

Greeter of the Year
Kitty Powell,
Red Robin Restaurant & South Valley Bank & Trust

Hello my name is Kitty Powell. I
have 3 beautiful children, Kaleigh 18, Courtney 16 and Tanner 14. They are the loves of my life. They are my inspiration to be better in this world
and to share my positive energy.
My ex-husband, Bill Powell, and I moved to the Valley in 1999. We started the Medford Red Robin and have poured
our hearts and souls into creating a community minded restaurant. We believe that if you give to your community and
focus on helping others, then it cant help but come back to you. On our journey we have supported many groups and
organizations. Its been fun to watch our
team members get involved and grow within themselves, learning to give back.
As my family has grown, I have found myself wanting to get my career
going again. Being a stay-at-home mom has been
so wonderful for our children and we have been blessed to have had that opportunity. I believe everything happens for a reason. The day I decided to pursue my career, I was at
Greeters and Lisa Dobson from South Valley Bank & Trust announced that they were
opening new branches in the fall of 2008. I
was standing RIGHT NEXT to her, talk about a sign! Greeters
works! I joined SVB&T as a
Personal Banker in October of 2008 and love being a part of a community minded
bank and their family.
Thank you to The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County for the honor of
Greeter of the Year! I will continue to
promote The Chamber, as I strongly believe that they are the heart of Medford.
